Refund Policy
Refunds on Evenzo are primarily governed by each event organiser’s individual policy. This page explains how the process works, what Evenzo handles directly, and how to get your money back quickly.
Organiser-Set Refund Policies
Refund eligibility is determined entirely by the event organiser. Evenzo acts as a technology intermediary and does not independently grant or deny refunds for event tickets.
Each organiser sets their own refund terms when creating an event on Evenzo. These terms are displayed on the event registration page before checkout. Common organiser refund policies include:
Always review the refund terms listed on the event page before completing your purchase. By completing checkout you acknowledge and accept the organiser’s stated refund policy.
Platform Fee — Non-Refundable
This fee covers payment processing infrastructure, QR code generation, confirmation email delivery, and platform maintenance costs that are incurred at the time of transaction. It cannot be reversed once a ticket is successfully issued.
Example: If you purchase a ₹500 ticket, the platform fee is ₹10 + ₹10 = ₹20. If the organiser approves a full refund, you receive ₹500 back. The ₹20 platform fee is not returned.
How to Request a Refund
Follow these steps to initiate a refund request:
Visit My Tickets
Go to the My Tickets page and enter the email address or phone number you used at checkout to retrieve your active registrations.
Locate Your Ticket
Find the specific event ticket for which you wish to request a refund and note your Confirmation Code.
Contact the Organiser
Reach out to the event organiser directly using the contact details on the event page. Include your Confirmation Code and state your reason. The organiser's decision on refund eligibility is final.
Escalate to Evenzo (if needed)
If the organiser is unresponsive for more than 7 business days, email support@evenzo.net with your Confirmation Code and a brief description. We will mediate in good faith, though the organiser’s stated policy remains binding.
Refund Processing Time
UPI refunds are typically faster (1–3 business days) while credit/debit card refunds may take up to 7–10 business days depending on your issuing bank’s processing cycle. Net banking refunds follow similar timelines to card refunds.
If you don’t see your refund within 10 business days of approval, contact your bank with the Razorpay Refund ID provided in your refund confirmation email, or write to support@evenzo.net.
No-Show Policy
Failure to attend an event (no-show) does not automatically entitle you to a refund.Refund eligibility in the event of a no-show is determined solely by the organiser’s stated policy.
If you are unable to attend an event for which you hold a ticket, we strongly recommend:
- ▸Contacting the organiser before the event date to notify them of your absence — this may improve your chances of a refund or credit transfer at the organiser's discretion.
- ▸Checking whether the organiser allows ticket transfers to another attendee.
- ▸Reviewing the specific cancellation deadline stated in the event refund policy — many organisers stop issuing refunds 48–72 hours before the event.
Event Cancellation by Organiser
In the event that an organiser cancels or significantly alters an event (change of date, venue, or format) after tickets have been sold:
- 1The organiser is solely responsible for communicating cancellation details to all ticket holders.
- 2Refund of the base ticket price (excluding platform fee) is the organiser's obligation.
- 3Evenzo will, upon written request, facilitate the refund process via Razorpay using the organiser's settlement funds where technically feasible.
- 4Evenzo reserves the right to remove or de-list events where an organiser fails to honour their refund obligations, and to ban repeat offenders from the platform.
